Traps come back
Every trap in the game reappears after a while, whether it was on a door, a container or the ground. Clearing a route does not keep it clear.
Some traps in raids belong to a boss fight. Those cannot be disarmed at all while no boss is up, and they can never be recovered.
Experience
Disarming a trap earns:
the trap's difficulty + (half that difficulty x (your rank / 4))
Your rank counts as at least 1 for that multiplier. At difficulty 40 with 40 ranks that is 240.
Damage to what the trap was on
Disarming a trap on a door or container that can be destroyed damages it by ten times your rank. If that is more than it has left, it is destroyed outright, along with whatever was inside.
A high rank is not free here: the better you are at disarming, the more likely you are to blow the container apart in the process.
Recovering traps
Traps cannot be recovered on this server.
While mounted
Being on a mount reduces this skill by 50.
