Re-level a character

Carried over from the knowledge base and only partly checked against the code. Where it and the game disagree, the game is right.

Re-levelling is done in Castle Glendario.

Each faction capital has a portal to Castle Glendario. Another portal is in Mulrok Village; an Underdark faction reaches Mulrok Island by boat or by portal first.

Character Partial Re-level

A dialogue option stores part of your character's experience (XP), which lowers your level. You can withdraw that experience later to level up again:

  • Stored experience persists through server reboots.
  • Stored experience belongs to the character that stored it. A different character cannot withdraw it; moving experience to another character needs the Complete Character Re-roll.
  • 25% of the experience you deposit is taken as a fee at the moment you deposit it. The remaining 75% is stored, and you withdraw all of it.
  • You can use this service any number of times.

Character Complete Re-roll

A complete re-level (re-roll) stores up to 780,000 of the character's experience (XP) in your account-wide XP Balance:

  • Every account has 1 free use of this service.
  • A custom skin equipped on the character must be removed first and stored in your Personal Vault.
    • The Player Menu has the option that removes an equipped custom skin.
  • Gold on the character is moved to your in-game bank account.
  • The Tokens paid for a Premium race are refunded.
  • Tokens paid for alignment changes on this character are not refunded.
  • Progress in the GTS crafting system on this character is not refunded.
  • The service does not store your items. It does not proceed while the character carries any items; they go into your Personal Vault first.
  • The service stores up to 780,000 of the character's experience in your account-wide XP Balance. Experience above that is converted to Epic Tokens, at 1 Epic Token per 10,000 XP.
  • The re-roll then permanently deletes the character.
  • A new character can then claim the stored XP.

Deleting a character

Player Menu -> Player Tools -> Delete This Character. There is no undo and no recovery: a deleted character is gone, with everything on it.
