Elemental Shield
The caster is surrounded by a ring of fire that damages all opponents who make a successful melee attack on the caster. The damage inflicted is 1d8, +1 point each 2 caster levels (maximum +20 at caster level 40). The caster also gains 50% immunity to cold and fire.

How it works
- It lasts one round per caster level, and Extend doubles that.
- While it is up you take half damage from fire and from cold, and anyone striking you in melee takes 1d8 fire damage plus half your caster level.
