Game rules
This page covers the rules the server itself enforces - the ones a script will act on without anybody being asked. The rules of behaviour, and what happens when they are broken, are set by the staff: see Conduct.
Character names
A name is checked the first time the character logs in, and a character with a name that fails is deleted on the spot, with the reason given. The requirements:
- between 3 and 32 characters, of which at least three are letters
- only characters from the allowed set
- no leading space, no trailing space, and no two spaces in a row - a name that looks identical to another one is not allowed to exist
- nothing the word filter refuses
- the name must not already be in use, anywhere on the server, by anybody
Rules with mechanics behind them
- PvP is consensual. You cannot attack a player who has not marked you as an enemy, and every player kill is reported to the staff.
- Hardcore and ordinary characters cannot fight each other, outside the arena.
- A party that is too far apart in level earns no experience - not the low members, not the high one.
- The game client must be up to date. An old build is refused at the door.
