These are the rules you agree to when you enter the world, and not knowing one is not a defence. The mechanical rules the server enforces by itself are on Game rules; this page is the part enforced by people.

The ones that end an account

Three things are answered with a permanent ban, and in two of them everybody involved is banned, not only the one who asked.

Exploiting a bug. Do not go looking for bugs. If you find one by accident, report it on the bug-reports channel on Discord straight away. Not reporting one is treated as seriously as using it. An important find is sometimes rewarded instead.

Boosting. Asking someone higher level to spawn creatures for you to kill - or doing it for someone else - is exploiting. Both accounts are banned.

Dual boxing. Playing two accounts at once is forbidden: not for buffs, not for a resurrection, not to spawn creatures for your other character. Every account involved is banned.

There is exactly one exception. You may log in a second account to pass items between your own accounts, and only in a city or a no-PvP area. Nothing else.

Two people on one connection is fine - what matters is that each account is played by a different person. One player, one account.

While you are playing

Kill what you spawn. Anything you pull that stands in the main path of an area - on or near a road - is yours to clear.
Do not log out to avoid dying, in PvE or in PvP. This one is punished severely.
Do not grief, and do not raise someone who has not asked to be raised.
Dropped items disappear after a few minutes and are not replaced. A corpse does not.

Dungeon Masters

A DM may spawn creatures, make an encounter harder, hand out items without telling you, or bring you back from death with no experience lost.

Do not ask a DM for items or gold.
Do not ask a DM to raise you.
Do not argue with a DM once a decision is made.

Getting help

Write in the dm-chat channel in game and wait. If nobody answers, or you cannot reach it, ask in #general on Discord. Someone will come - asking twice does not make it sooner.

For a dispute with another player, take it to a DM rather than settling it yourself, in game or on Discord, with screenshots where you can. The staff read the logs and can see more of what happened than either of you.
