The version the server expects
The server checks your build the moment you connect and turns away anything older than 8193.37.17, telling you which part of the version is too old. The same requirement applies on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
If you are refused, update Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition and connect again.
Playing on a phone or tablet
The mobile client is supported, and the server knows it is talking to one: the windows it opens - the vault, the trade post, the socket panel, the mount list - are laid out differently on a small screen.
Your first character
A new character does not start at level 1. It arrives at level 3, with the gold that goes with that, a bedroll, and - for the races that need to eat - food to be going on with.
