Eldritch Blast
A beam of crackling energy streaks toward a creature within range. Make an Eldritch Blast attack against the target's Armour Class. The ability checks the target's spell resistance. On a hit the target takes 1d10 magical damage, doubled on a critical.
The attack roll is 1 + d20 + your Warlock base attack bonus + your Charisma modifier + your Eldritch Blast Weapon Focus feats + Epic Prowess + (Warlock levels / 5), against the target's Armour Class.
| Type of feat | Class |
| Use | Selected |
| Prerequisites | none |
| Counts as an attack | Yes - using it on someone is a hostile act |
Beams
The ability creates more than one beam as you gain levels:
| Warlock level | Beams |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 |
| 8 | 2 |
| 15 | 3 |
| 22 | 4 |
| 29 | 5 |
| 36 | 6 |
Beams distribute evenly across targets when there is more than one in the area of effect.
It keeps firing
Cast at a creature, or at a spot on the ground, the blast queues itself again at the same target and keeps going until you clear your action queue. This happens only for a player character casting it directly - not when the blast comes from an item.
It can be switched off per character, from the Player Menu.
Dark Pacts
Dark Pacts add effects to the blast. The save DC for those effects is 5 + (Warlock levels / 2) + your Charisma modifier, plus any Eldritch Blast DC bonus from your equipment.
Two pacts change the blast itself rather than adding an effect:
- Agonizing Blast adds half your Charisma modifier to each beam's damage, and Epic Agonizing Blast adds the whole modifier instead.
- Vitriolic Blast makes the blast ignore spell resistance.
