Barbarian Rage
The barbarian may rage, gaining a +4 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution and +2 to all Will saving throws, in exchange for a -2 penalty to Armor Class. The barbarian may use this ability once per day at first level, +1 use per day at level 4, and every 4 levels thereafter, extending into epic levels. If the Strength bonus is already capped, the Barbarian receives +2 Attack Bonus (+3 for Greater Rage).
| Type of feat | Class |
| Use | Selected. At 15th level, the rage ability becomes greater rage, giving the barbarian +6 to Strength and Consitution and +3 to Will saves (the -2 penalty to Armor Class still applies). |
| Prerequisites | none - it is granted at Barbarian level 1 or 4 or 8 or 12 |
| Target | Yourself |
| Ability used | Barbarian Rage |
| Duration | 1 turn (1 minute) per point of natural Constitution modifier (gear does not count). Gear that extends spell durations adds rounds to it. |
How it works
- +4 Strength and +4 Constitution, or +6 each from Barbarian level 15. Mighty Rage adds +6 more to both.
- You also get a Will save bonus of half that amount, and -2 Armor Class.
- If your Strength is already at the bonus limit, the Strength you cannot use becomes attack bonus instead: +1 attack bonus per 2 points.
- With Mighty Rage you also deal extra bludgeoning damage equal to the Strength bonus.
- A pure Barbarian at maximum level that has taken Mighty Rage and activates Barbarian Rage gets Mind Spells Immunity while the rage is active.
- You cannot rage with a natural Constitution modifier below 1.
- Only your Barbarian levels count toward the level 15 bonus.
- Raging again replaces the rage you already have.
