Lesser Planar Binding
This spell has two modes of operation: targeting a single outsider, or summoning a planar ally. Targeted outsiders are paralyzed for 1 round per 2 caster levels if it fails a Will save. If used on the ground, the type of summoned ally is based on the caster's alignment, and the summoned outsider scales with the caster levels:
- Caster Level < 12: Summons a Lower Outsider
- Caster Level < 15: Summons an Average Outsider
- Caster Level < 18: Summons a Strong Outsider
- Caster Level < 21: Summons a Greater Outsider
- Caster Level >= 21: Summons a Legendary Outsider

How it works
Lesser Planar Binding
- Aimed at an outsider, the Will save is against your normal spell DC. Only outsiders can be bound.
- Cast on the ground, a Cleric with the Good or Evil domain summons a stronger ally.
Lesser Planar Binding
- It cannot be dispelled.
- A stronger servant answers at Blackguard level 10, 15 and 20.
- With Epic Fiendish Servant, a stronger one again answers at Blackguard level 25 and 30.
- Levels in other classes do not count toward it.
Where it comes from
Cast by a feat: Summon Fiend.
Cleric domain: Good (level 5).
