How it works

It is a different ability from Bard Song: Bard Song buffs you and your party, Curse Song damages and weakens the enemies around you.
Its power scales with your Perform skill and your Bard or Skald level (the higher of the two). The first band needs Perform 3 and level 1: -1 attack bonus, -1 damage and -1 to all skills. The top band needs Perform 109 and level 40: -2 attack bonus, -3 damage, -3 Will, -2 Fortitude, -2 Reflex, -3 Armor Class, -8 to all skills and 60 sonic damage.
Each point of Cries of the Soul on your gear adds +10 sonic damage.
You are never caught by your own Curse Song.
The penalties cannot be dispelled.
A creature that cannot hear is not affected.
