Propose an edit

Anyone with an account can propose a change to any page. Nothing you submit goes live by itself - an admin reviews every proposal.

How it works

  1. Say what is wrong. At the foot of every page there is a box. One sentence is enough, and it is the most useful thing you can send: "Discipline does stop Sap - it saved me at 30 ranks last night." You do not need to know how the page is written, and you do not need to propose the wording - a correction with no explanation is what takes a maintainer longer to check than to make. Log in first: the box needs an account.
  2. Review. What you send is stored as a proposal and nothing else: it is never published, never shown to another reader, and never becomes part of a page on its own. An admin reads it and either accepts it or turns it down.
  3. The change itself. Accepting means somebody agrees with you, not that anything has happened yet: a maintainer still has to write the correction into the wiki's files and push it, and only then does it reach the site at the next update. An accepted proposal stays on the list until that is done, which is how nothing gets forgotten between the two.

Pages built from the game data work the same way. Their text is written by AI from the module's own data and rebuilt on every update, so nobody edits it by hand - but the box is there, and a note naming the value that is wrong is exactly what is wanted. The fix goes into the generator, or into the game data, and reaches the page at the next build.

What gets accepted

  • Corrections, obviously - especially where the wiki contradicts the game.
  • Detail on a page that is thinner than its subject deserves.
  • A page that does not exist yet, and should.
  • Structure: splitting an overloaded page, adding aliases so a term links itself.

What gets rejected

  • Rewritten text for a page marked source: generated. Those are rebuilt from the module's own data on every update, so a rewrite is erased by the next run. Say which value is wrong instead: the bug is in the generator or in the module, and that is where it gets fixed.
  • Strategy dressed as fact on a rules page. "The best build is X" belongs under Builds, where opinion is what the page is for and the author is named.
  • Anything you have not checked in game.

Attribution

Proposals are recorded with the account that made them, so an admin can come back to you about what you saw. Contributing means agreeing that your text can be published here under the same terms as the rest of the wiki.
