Healing
Most healing works the way the base game does. Two things here differ:
- A full heal you use on yourself from an item heals less each time you repeat it.
- Healing kits scale with your Heal skill.
Healing fatigue
Using a full heal from an item on yourself gives you Healing Fatigue. Each further one heals less:
| Fatigue when you use it | You are healed for | It becomes | And steps back down after |
|---|---|---|---|
| none | 100% | level 1 | 24 seconds |
| level 1 | 75% | level 2 | 18 seconds |
| level 2 | 50% | level 3 | 12 seconds |
| level 3 | 25% | no further | - |
The step-down timer runs from your last full heal from an item.
Healing Fatigue is applied only when all three are true:
- the heal is a full heal
- it came from an item
- you used it on yourself
A full heal cast as an innate spell or ability does not fatigue you, and neither does one an ally uses on you.
Healing kits
A kit does not heal a fixed amount. It heals:
(roll + Heal ranks / 5) x the kit's level
- roll is a d20 in combat and a flat 20 out of combat.
- A level 10 kit used by a character with 40 ranks of Heal heals 280 hit points out of combat, and between 90 and 280 in combat.
