Khardrin Greyspine

Born in the deep forges of Gracklstugh, Khardrin Greyspine was raised with hammer in hand and discipline in his blood. Like all Duergar, he was taught that strength and obedience forge survival in the Underdark. But where others trusted steel and shield, Khardrin found his strength in silence and precision.

He became an elite guard of the Deepking's caravan escorts - the few tasked with defending Duergar convoys through the labyrinthine tunnels of the Underdark. His bow, a rare dwarven longbow carved from petrified zurkhwood, earned him the name "The Stone Arrow." His skill was unmatched: a single shot in the dark, and the enemy never saw their death coming.

Years of duty hardened him, but not his conscience. He's seen slaves traded like coin, allies abandoned for gain, and honor treated as myth. Now, Khardrin walks a quieter path - exiled or departed by choice - taking contracts on the surface where the air burns his lungs, but freedom tastes new.

He still wears the insignia of the Grey Guard on his shoulder - not as loyalty, but as memory.
